The Northern Brush

The Northern Brush is Northern Ontario’s premier painting competition, hosted by North Bay Games and Hobbies. Utilizing an Open Judging System, artists are evaluated against a standard of excellence to earn Gold, Silver, or Bronze medals based on individual merit.

The competition features 5 categories:

• Single Figure: Sci-Fi, Fantasy, and Historical up to 54mm
• Diorama: Storytelling and scene-building
• Large Figure / Bust: Any subject 54mm scale or larger
• Vehicles / Constructs / Gundams: Mechanical and robotic subjects
• Unit: Cohesive squads or groups of 3+ miniatures

Participants may enter up to three pieces per category. 

This means that with the purchase of 1 entry a participant is eligible to submit a total of 15 pieces (3 for each of the 5 categories).

This event celebrates the artistry of the hobby community through professional judging, community events, and a showcase of regional talent. 

Models do not need to be purchased from North Bay Games and Hobbies.
